I Care America, Inc. ("I Care America," "we," "us," or "our") appreciates every donation made to support our mission of fighting food insecurity. We understand that donors may occasionally need to request a refund or correction, and this Policy explains how that process works.
Donations to I Care America are generally considered final and non-refundable, as funds are often allocated toward our programs shortly after receipt. However, we recognize that mistakes happen, and we will review refund requests made in good faith on a case-by-case basis, including for:
To request a refund, please contact us within 30 days of the transaction date:

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the donation.
Please allow 5–10 business days for a refund to be processed and to appear on your statement, depending on your card issuer or bank.
If a tax receipt was issued for a refunded donation, we will provide a corrected receipt or void the original, as applicable.
If you have set up a recurring donation and wish to cancel or modify it, please contact us using the information above at least 5 business days before your next scheduled charge. We will confirm cancellation in writing once processed.
If you selected the option to cover processing fees so that I Care America receives 100% of your donation, any refund issued will reflect the original donation amount; processing fees charged by our payment processor may not be recoverable, as they are retained by the payment processor rather than I Care America.
Refunds do not apply to donated food, goods, or property contributions submitted through our "Donate Property" program, as these are in-kind gifts rather than monetary transactions.
